Instruction Manual | ||
1. Prepare the site carefully before venpuncture. | ||
2. Make sure that the package and contents are intact and that the expiry date has been exceeded. | ||
3. Hold the transparent hub firmly with thumb and index finger and enable a steady grip. This minimizes the risk | ||
of contamintion by touch. | ||
4. Advance the cannula through the skin and puncture the vein. When venepunctured, avoid absolutly that | ||
the point of cannula penetreates the opposite wall of blood vessel. | ||
5. Exact venepuncture is indicated by the entry of blood into the flushback chamber. | ||
6. Change grip and hld with thumb and middle finger. Place index finger on the tap on the cannula hub. | ||
7. Advance the catheter by pushing on the tab. | ||
8. Withdraw the needle completely. Avoid blood spilage by pressing the vein above the catheter tip with a finger. | ||
9. Connect the catheter hub to the infusion line. If not for immediate use for the catheter, should be flushed with | ||
saline or heparinized saline solution before closure. | ||
10. Secure the catheter and protect the puncture site. The infusion line should be connected through the hole of | ||
hub wing. Good fixation is important to prevent mechanical irritation. | ||
11. The puncture site should be checked regularly for signs of inflammation. | ||
Caution for safety | ||
1. Users should be fully, aware of instruction manual and caution and cope with the latent dangers concerned with | ||
use. | ||
2. A partially or complelly withdrawn needle from catheter must naver be reinserted into the catheter tubing. | ||
When reinserted, the sharp of needle damages catheter tubing and cuts it. Therefore, this can bring accident which | ||
the tubing cut enters into blood vessel. | ||
3. If users is pierced by needle withdrawn from catheter inserted to blood vessel, user can be infected with any | ||
other infectious diseases. | ||
4. In case of removing catheter from blood vessel, remove it slowly and carefully without adding strong force | ||
because of reisk of cut. | ||
5. If first venepuncture is failure, the falling catheter must never be used for revenepuncture. | ||
Discard the falling catheter and use new catheter surely. | ||
6. Prohibit absolutely the use of the sharp device same as knife and scissors etc. at the site which catheter is inserted. | ||
